>Created and developed by local community-minded business owner Tim Meagher, and designed by acclaimed artist and designer Samuelle Green, Wonder is located on the Main Street of historic Honesdale. The fully restored brick building has three stories where six lofts can sleep up to 40 guests. Each loft features 10-foot high ceilings, hand-painted wood flooring, and luxurious amenities. The lofts have an open-air plan where curtains separate each room.
Wonder is guaranteed to create a multitude of experiences for all. Guests can start their day with fresh baked goods from Be Kind Bake Shop on the first floor of Wonder. They can then discover all Honesdale offers, from shops to sightseeing, all within walking distance. Lastly, dinner can be enjoyed back on the first floor of Wonder at Native Food & Drink, a restaurant where upscale dining meets a casual and modern setting.
Honesdale is the quintessential American small town steeped in history. Get a birds eye view of the town from Irving Cliff (Named after Washington Irving), and stroll through our park located on Church Street, where Dick Smith was inspired to write Winter Wonderland. While in the "Birthplace of the American Railroad," visitors can experience a piece of Honesdale's history by learning about The Stourbridge Lion and taking a train ride on The Stourbridge Line. If shopping and strolling are your things, we have a multitude of fabulous boutiques, shops, craft brewers, and restaurants along our Main Street.
Enjoy the great outdoors? Honesdale is a perfect four-season destination. Water sports abound. Tubing, kayaking, boating, swimming, fishing - you name it! You'll never run out of opportunities from nearby Lake Wallenpaupack to the Delaware River, Lackawaxen River, Dyberry Creek and Honesdale's pool! Enjoy miles of hiking and biking on our region's abundant trails! Guests can admire the fall foliage during the autumn season, where the variety of our trees makes for a remarkable display. As the town becomes a winter wonderland for those looking to ski or snowboard, Elk Mountain and other ski resorts are only a short drive away.
